Canine Hip Dysplasia
Hip Dysplasia is common in large and giant breed dogs. It occurs when the growth of the puppy doesn’t go well due to genetics or external injuries. For this reason, small pups should be limited from going up and down stairs, jumping from high places, and rough play until they are over the age of 8 months old. If you need further information on Hip Dysplasia, please request information from your veterinarian as it will be more current than any information on the Internet.

Skin Allergies
Dogs, like humans, can have many allergies that are displayed in sneezing, eye discharge, and skin reactions. When a dog is scratching, biting, or licking constantly at certain parts of their bodies, it most likely is an allergic reaction to something. First check the area to confirm is not an open wound, tick, fleas, or infection. Then check with your veterinarian on foods that may be used to test for possible food allergies your dog may have.
